Covenant World Relief – This March, CCC will be collecting money to support Covenant World Relief. CWR supports development and emergency response projects around the world working with local ministry and church partners. “Change Cans” will be available at the church to collect loose change throughout the month. Note “Covenant World Relief” on your gift.

A Call for Candy – Individually wrapped candy is needed for the children’s egg hunt on Easter Sunday. Candy can be placed in the office before Friday, April 3.

Sign up for Food – A sign up list for the Easter Brunch is now posted near the office. Sign up to bring a favorite dish to the annual brunch at 10:00 a.m. on Easter Sunday. There are also sign ups for a simple bread and soup dinner on Maundy Thursday evening, April 2. Questions? Contact Martha Reitman.

Church Membership – A membership class will be offered this coming April A class will be scheduled to fit the availability of those interested; if interested, please contact a pastor (PastorRyan1@gmail.com.) Church membership allows individuals to make formal business decisions for the church and serve in leadership. Attending the membership class does not commit one to formally becoming a member.

March Covenant Crafters – Covenant Crafters this month is the last Saturday (28th) of the month, beginning at 3:00 p.m. with dinner around 5:00 p.m. Bring your craft projects, musical instruments or just you. Jigsaw puzzles and brain teaser books are provided for those who just want to come and be part of the group but don’t want to craft. Family and friends are welcome. RSVP to Kathy Knowles (hulabunnie@verizon.net) if attending dinner.

Easter Sunday at Community Covenant Church

9:30 a.m.  Set-up

10:00 a.m.  Egg Hunt for Kids.

The Egg Hunt will begin in the basement with instructions.  Two egg hunts will happen at the same time: one for elementary age children in the yard on the “pool side” of the church; the other for children kindergarten and younger on the “sign side” of the church.  Everyone is encouraged to watch, help and cheer on!

10:00 a.m.  Brunch

A light brunch will happen while the egg hunt is on-going.  Everyone is welcome to help themselves.  Brunch is in the Fellowship Hall, on the first floor.

11:00 a.m.  Worship

Celebrate our resurrected Lord!  Children ages 3 to 8 are invited to Children’s Church halfway through the service.  For what to expect in worship, click here.

Celebration of Baptism – Join CCC in worship next Sunday, March 22nd as Kristen and Forrest Hair present their daughter Maisie for the sacrament of baptism.

Planning for Summer – Pilgrim Pines and Mayflower Family Camp are currently taking reservations for their upcoming summer programs. Visit their website (pilgrimpines.com)
or see their flier at the church. Pilgrim Pines is CCC’s affiliated camp located in beautiful southern New Hampshire.

Chapter 8: “Judges” ( Judges 1-16) The period of Israel’s early time in the Promised Land and its struggle to remain faithful to God their King.

Next week we are learning about:
Chapter 9: “Ruth” An individual story during the period of the judges of a Moabite woman choosing to follow the God of Israel.

Thinking CHIC – CHIC (Covenant High-Schoolers in Christ) is the triennial gathering of youth from around the U.S. and Canada. CHIC 2015 is being held at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville from July 12-17. CCC is exploring the interest in sending a group of students and/or volunteers. Interested in learning more? Contact Pastor Ryan (pastorryan1@gmail.com).

Chapter 7 will be March 8, since worship on March 1 was canceled.

This week everyone is learning about: Chapter 7: “Joshua”
It covers: Joshua 1-24. The story of the Israelites entering the Promised Land.

It covers: Numbers 10-Deuteronomy 34. The story of the Israelites wandering in the wilderness and preparing to enter the Promised Land.

Next week we will be learning about: Chapter 7: “Joshua”

Ash Wednesday – On Wednesday, February 18th the church will be open for prayer and the giving of ashes from 7:30 until 8:00 p.m. Come as you are able, stay as long as you wish. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Christian season of Lent, a time of preparation and fasting prior to Easter.

A New Look – The Covenant Companion, the magazine from our denomination, has been reworked with a new website and the same wonderful content. Check out covenantcompanion.com for news, articles and to subscribe to the full magazine.

January 25 Meeting – CCC’s annual congregation-wide meeting will be held on Sunday, January 25th at the church. A meal will begin at 5:00 p.m. with the meeting to follow at 6:00 p.m. The meeting covers ministry updates and the 2015 church budget and typically lasts around an hour. All church attendees are encouraged to attend; voting is limited to church members.
