On Sunday, June 2nd, Community Covenant will be holding a worship service for the residents of Arden Courts (7104 Braddock Road, Annandale), a memory assistance facility. The service will begin at 3:00 p.m. and last approximately 30 minutes. Individuals and families are needed to help greet the residents, pass out materials and/or read scripture. Please contact a pastor if you would like to help.
Wear Red!
You are invited to continue the tradition of wearing red for worship on Pentecost Sunday, May 19th. Red symbolizes the Spirit who came like tongues of fire on the disciples in the upper room and who fills God’s church today with life and joy.
Be Baptized!
Later this spring, Community Covenant Church will celebrate a service of believers’ baptism. For those already baptized, a reaffirmation of baptism ceremony will also be performed. If you would like to participate in either rite as an example of witness to Christ’s work in your life, please speak with a pastor.

Lent
Consider engaging with Christ in a new way this Lent:
1. Pray: Incorporate prayer into your life in a new way.
Find a time for a new season of prayer, perhaps during the time you fast. Additional opportunities will be available at church.
2. Fast: Give up something you value during Lent.
Consider giving up a regular food item (like your latte at Starbucks), refraining from using technology for a time (like not watching TV on Sundays or not using Facebook) or fasting during one meal a week.
3. Give: Donate to Covenant World Relief.
We will collect an offering to benefit the humanitarian aid agency of the Covenant Church. If you give up something of value (like a Starbucks latte) or fast during a meal, consider donating this amount to CWR.
Ash Wednesday
On February 13 at 7:30 p.m. there will be a special Ash Wednesday Prayer service in the sanctuary.
