May 18 Announcements

Ministry Team Proposal – A proposal has been put together following our church-wide meeting in late March.    Paper copies are available at church or email a pastor to receive a report.  In the next few weeks, we will be receiving feedback and suggestions, particularly on the “2 Part Proposal” section, and we will begin “trying out” some of the proposals.  If you would like to assist in this work or discussion, please contact a team member or pastor.

Council Positions – Several leadership council positions are opening starting next month.  We would like to consider any individual interested in church leadership; open positions include properties, council secretary and Christian formation.  If you would like to volunteer or suggest an individual for consideration, please talk to Paul Seguin or one of the pastors.

Bearing Fruit

Join us for adult Sunday School, every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the church sanctuary.  Throughout the fall, the classes will be focusing on the fruit of the spirit (love, joy, peace, patience…) and how we can incorporate them more fully in our lives.

Fall gets back in full-swing at Community Covenant starting September 8th!  A Sunday School kick-off will start at 9:30 a.m. followed by worship and children’s church at 11:00 a.m.  The schedule will continue at this time throughout the fall.  Mark your calendars!

Children’s Safety Meeting

Plan on staying after worship on September 8th for a children’s safety meeting.  Attendance is mandatory for those working with children and youth, though all are encouraged to attend.  If you cannot attend, a second meeting will be offered later in the fall.  Contact Julie Roberts or Pastor Ryan with any questions.

Sunday School Assistant

A Sunday School Assistant is needed to volunteer with the Kindergarten and Pre-K class starting September 8th.  If you are interested in learning more, please contact Julie Roberts or Pastor Devyn.

Gearing Up for Fall

Ministries are in need of volunteers as they start again this fall.  Areas in need of assistance include ushers/greeters, music, children and youth ministry, missions connection team, and fellowship events.  If you would like to help in any of these areas, please see the council person responsible or speak with a pastor.

Hope Sunday 2012: Congo Kids!

Did you know: more people attend a Covenant church in the Congo than attend Covenant churches in the U.S. and Canada combined?  Join us as we explore the exciting work of God in this special country and how we are able to partner with him to further Christ’s work in this corner of the world.  On Sunday, September 30th there will be events for both adults and children during the Sunday School hour, followed by a special worship service.  Don’t miss it!
