Announcements for June 14

Summer Worship – Worship will be at 10:00 a.m. throughout the summer beginning June 7th. (Sunday School will resume in September).

Church Meeting – A congregation-wide meeting will be held on Sunday, June 21st after worship. There will be ministry updates, a proposal to support a medical clinic in the Congo, and a vote on individuals for church leadership. All are encouraged to attend; voting is limited to church members.

Lunch Out – Join a group next Sunday, June 14th for lunch out at Kababayan Filipino Restaurant in Woodbridge. See Martha Reitman for more information or simply join the group after church on Sunday.

Nationals Baseball – A few tickets are left for the Community Covenant’s trip to the Nationals Baseball game on the 4th of July at 11:00 a.m. Contact Nelson Hastings to reserve your ticket (

This Week in “The Story:”
Sunday we are learning about: Chapter 19: The Return Home: The story of God’s people’s return from exile and life back in the land of Israel (Ezra, Haggai, Zechariah).

Next week we are learning about: Chapter 20: The Queen of Beauty and Courage: The story of Queen Esther and her bold move to save the Jewish people (Esther).
