Announcements for May 17

Wear Red! – You are invited to continue the tradition of wearing red for worship on Pentecost Sunday, May 24th. Red symbolizes the Spirit who came like tongues of fire on the disciples in the upper room and who fills God’s church today with life and joy.

Church Garden – The church garden will soon be ready for planting! There are a handful of raised beds and other space in the garden below the parking lot. Contact Kathy Knowles to commit to a spot (hulabunnie@verizon.net).

Take Me Out to the Ballgame – A group from CCC will again be going to the Washington National’s game on Saturday, July 4th at 11:00 a.m. Contact Nelson Hastings soon to reserve a seat (naah96@verizon.net).

Relay for Life – CCC will be participating in the West Springfield Relay for Life supporting the American Cancer Society. There are three ways to get involved: 1) Join the walking team beginning on June 13th at 7pm at West Springfield High School and walk as long as you are able; 2) Purchase a luminary in honor or memory of a friend or family member for a suggested donation of $10 or more; or 3) Come on the 13th to cheer the team on. Questions? Contact John Benson (johnsbenson@hotmail.com) for more information or to purchase a luminary..

  1. Pastor Ryan and Pastor Devyn,

Please forgive our absences. It seems it is always something. My dad and step-mom are here visiting and my dad has had such a bad cough that they didn’t feel he should go and the week before, my step-mom was ill. I hope that Rich and I will be able to get there before the start of the summer hours.

Hope that you are all well and that things are going well at church.

    Ginny
