Announcements for January 25

The Story Groups – Want to join or start a group discussing the story? You are encouraged to gather a group of neighbors, friends, family and church members to discuss readings in The Story. Short videos, questions and discussion guides are available to individuals interested in facilitating a group. Interested? Talk to Pastor Devyn for help and more information (pastordevyn@gmail.com).

Kids and The Story – Want to know how to use the Story with the kids in your life? Stay after church for helpful hints and a discussion for using the Story with your children, grandchildren or other young ones in your life. Sunday, February 1st at 12:30 p.m. Questions? See Pastor Devyn.

January 25 Meeting – CCC’s annual congregation-wide meeting will be held on Sunday, January 25th at the church. A meal will begin at 5:00 p.m. with the meeting to follow at 6:00 p.m. The meeting covers ministry updates and the 2015 church budget and typically lasts around an hour. All church attendees are encouraged to attend; voting is limited to church members.

Joining CCC in Worship – The Fairfax Covenant Church Plant will be joining CCC for worship on the first Sunday of each month through this summer. Welcome!

This Week in “The Story:”
Each week, CCC reads one chapter of “the Story,” an annotated Bible. Everyone is welcome to join in! See a pastor or usher for a copy of “the Story” to follow along.

This week everyone is learning about: Chapter 2: “God Builds a Nation.”
It covers Genesis 12-35: The story of the God using women and men to create the nation of Israel.

Next week we will be learning about: Chapter 3: “Joseph: From Slave to Deputy Pharoah”
It covers Genesis 37-50: The story of the God’s work in the life of Joseph.
