Angel Tree – Help a family celebrate Christmas by purchasing gifts for the children of parents who are part of the ministry of Prison Fellowship. Children’s gift lists and instructions are available on the bulletin board near the office. Hanging of the Greens – Come help the church look its best for Christmas and Advent. Decorating starts at 10:00a.m. this coming Saturday, December 6th.
Children’s Church Volunteers – Help teach our children! Teachers and assistants are needed for children’s church which meets during the second half of the worship service. Volunteers commit to one Sunday a month. Speak with Pastor Devyn or Ruth Kendrick to learn more.
Need Volunteers for Rising Hope Christmas Shop – Rising Hope UMC needs volunteers to help with their big Christmas gift event, Dec. 15 – 19. Rising Hope has a free “Christmas Shop” open to families to choose toys, clothing, home goods, etc. They need 45 volunteers to help with the following activities. Last year they distributed 1450 gifts.
December 15 — Set up tables of donated goods at Rising Hope UMC for their Christmas Shop 9 AM – 3 PM
December 16, 17, 18 — Assist families with their shopping — Shifts are 9:00 AM – 12:00; 12:00 – 4:00 PM December 19 — Clean up
We are also in need of new toys for all ages.
