Kid’s Playgroup – Come and play! Young children and their caregivers (parents, grandparents, and more!) are welcome to come to CCC’s nursery on Fridays. It will be open from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. beginning September 19th! Contact Pastor Devyn for more information.
For All the Saints – In worship on November 2nd, CCC will remember “All Saints Day” and the anniversary of the martyrdom of Dr. Paul Carlson. Dr. Carlson was killed 50 years ago this fall while serving as a Covenant missionary in the Congo. A special offering benefitting mission work in the Congo will be collected. Individuals are also encouraged to bring an unframed photo of loved one(s) who have passed away to the service. We will remember all those in “the great cloud of witnesses” and worship Christ who is the resurrection and the life.
Lions, Tigers and Bears! – People of all ages are welcome for a trip to the zoo! Saturday, November 8th at the National Zoo in D.C. Homework Help Club – CCC is starting a new “Homework Help Club” to help elementary aged children in ESL homes complete their homework. Meetings start at the end of October, and we need your help! Easy, kid-friendly meals for 12 are needed weekly. In addition, basic school supplies are needed. Child Safety Make-Up Meeting – Any child or youth volunteer who missed the first child safety meeting this fall should plan on attending the make-up meeting after worship on October 19th. It will meet in the fellowship hall at 12:30. Contact Pastor Ryan with any questions.
New Member Opportunity – A new members class will begin meeting soon. The class will include an overview of Community Covenant’s beliefs and practices, our history and more.
