Today in Worship – Today, CCC welcomes Dr. Steve Sherman to the pulpit. Steve and Lynn Sherman worship and serve at Spring Branch Community Church in Virginia Beach. Dr. Sherman serves as assistant professor in the Biblical Studies & Christian Ministry department at Regent University; he also teaches in the summer for Fuller Theological Seminary in Southern California—where he and his family lived until 2004. Steve’s courses include theology, ethics, worldviews, philosophy, and biblical interpretation. He holds a B.A. from California State University; an M.A. from Simon Greenleaf University; and M.Div. and Ph.D. from Fuller Theological Seminary. Steve is also a licensed minister with the Evangelical Covenant Church. The Sherman’s have been married 23 years and have two adult children and a 4-year-old granddaughter. Welcome!
Next Sunday – Next Sunday in worship, our own Michael Han will be preaching. Mike has many years of ministry experience with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in British Columbia, Canada and as pastor of a local church.
Thank You! – A big thank you to everyone who made CCC’s trip to Mountain Mission Bible Camp a success. In addition to the nine who attended, countless others worked behind the scenes to assist with fundraising, the fall preview dinner, and various aspects of coordination and preparation. Thank you!
