Pilgrimage of Peace

An interfaith gathering is occuring at St. Bernadette Catholic Church on October 27 at 7:30pm .  October 27 should be an opportune date for us since on that same day in Assisi, Italy, leaders from all world religions will be gathering for what is being termed a “pilgrimage of peace.”  For our gathering, we have selected one theme:  What do people of God do in response to a violent world? We will be reading from the life stories of some of God’s faithful who came face-to-face with violence and how they responded, hopefully as guides for ourselves in today’s world.  We will have music, prayer and a chance to meet and talk.   The gathering takes place in the Bradican Room of St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church, 7600 Old Keene Mill Road, Springfield.
